Hello, my name is Nelson Baiza.

 

I am one of the 6th & 8th grade history teachers at Horace Mann.   This year, I am celebrating my 23rd year as an educator in the North Bergen School District. Aside from teaching in North Bergen,  I have also taught courses as an  adjunct professor at Hudson Community College .  I graduated from Rider University in the year 2000 with a degree in history, education, multi-cultural studies, and women's studies and then obtained my Masters degree in 2004.

 

I am a father of 2 wonderful children.  Like you,  I understand  the impact education can have on our children's future.     As an educator, It is my job and duty to challenge our students to think, to become our leaders of tomorrow, and to foster a love for learning.
