Introduction
Welcome, 6th-grade students and parents, to the beginning of your middle school journey. As the year unfolds, I will learn more and more about your children. I feel it's important you know some about me.
Biography:
I have been working in North Bergen for 20 years. Throughout those years, I have been lucky to work all these years at Horace Mann. I am a graduate of New Jersey City University and a local kid of Hudson County.
I began teaching 5th grade at Horace Mann where I taught for 10 years. Leading into my 7th year of teaching the 6th grade, when it became departmentalized and I jumped at the opportunity to teach two of my favorite subjects when I was a student. My goal is to instill that love for Science and History that has stayed with me to this day.
Aside from teaching, I was the girls' basketball coach at Horace Mann for 10 years and was lucky enough to bring 4 championships to Horace Mann, which I take great pride in. I am a father of 3 children. My two oldest have completed their studies and continue to find their careers. My youngest will be a junior in High School and preparing herself to begin her college search. I share this information so that my students' parents know I understand the struggle of being a working parent, and I am committed to working with your children and yourselves to make our learning circle a success.
I hope everyone has a great year, and if parents have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me through email.
