To begin celebrating Read Across America Week, Horace Mann Elementary held a sock drive which concluded on "Silly Sock Day." The event was a huge success, as the Horace Mann Community collected bins of new socks ranging from infant to adult. The socks were donated to the PERC homeless shelter in Union City, NJ. “As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands - one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.” - Audrey Hepburn

We raised $6,157.56 this year. Special congratulations to Ms. Belen's & Mrs. T. Morales for their 1st & 2nd place combined total of $1146.92.
