Welcome to Ms Quintano's Technology Class
Hello Parents and Students,
Welcome to my page! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Quintano, and I am your child’s Technology teacher. I have been teaching in the district for the past 23 years and have held many diverse roles during that time—so to say I am adaptable would be an understatement.
Over the years, I have taught every grade level, from Kindergarten through High School. I began my career as a fourth-grade teacher for two years before becoming the district’s first Technology teacher nearly 17 years ago. Since then, I have worked in every building, led professional development for teachers, collaborated with administrators on scheduling, and served on the team that introduced the district’s first Technology Curriculum. I have always taken a progressive and active role in shaping how technology supports student learning.
I am very hands-on in the classroom and love to integrate core subjects into technology lessons. My goal is to move beyond “skill and drill” so that learning becomes meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable for all students.
To help your child succeed, please make sure they come to school each day with their Chromebooks fully charged and their chargers with them. Be sure to label your child’s Chromebook and keep it in a safe place at home where they can easily find it. Most importantly, please encourage your child to be responsible for their belongings so they arrive prepared for class.
This year, the district has issued new passwords for every student, and this will continue in the future. As technology evolves and becomes “faster, smarter, and better,” so too have hackers, who have attempted to infiltrate the district’s firewalls and send spam through student accounts. Please be mindful of what your child is accessing online while at home under your care.
I am truly excited to be back in Technology for the next ten months. My goal is to update my own knowledge while helping your children become familiar with the essentials of technology and its many uses. Together, we will explore how technology can be a powerful tool in an ever-changing world, especially as Artificial Intelligence becomes a part of everyday life. I look forward to an exciting school year and hope to instill in your children the same love of learning that I have for technology.
I believe strongly in creating a classroom environment that is safe, respectful, comfortable, structured, and welcoming to all students—but most importantly, one that fosters a lifelong love of learning.
Welcome, Classes of 2025–2026!
Let’s have a fantastic year together!
Warmly,
Ms. Quintano
