About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Mr. Geron.
I am going to be your 5th grade Math and Science teacher here at Horace Mann School! I graduated Kean University with a degree in Psychology and went the Alternate route for my teaching certification. This is going to be my 2nd full year teaching in a classroom in the North Bergen School district (I started as an Interventionist for half of a year). I have a special appreciation for the township of North Bergen and for the residents/students who live here. I grew up in North Bergen, I currently live in North Bergen, and I care about the people of this great town. I come from a family of educators. My father was a Vice Principal and Teacher for over 17 years and my mom is currently in her 39th year as an educator. My brother is currently enrolled in an Alternate Route Program to become a teacher. And last, but certainly not least, my Fiance is also a teacher.
I hope to create a fun and very productive learning environment. I want to make a lasting impression on every student that I interact with. I am a teacher who like to make connections with his students and I want the parents and students to know that I truly care about each and every one of you! My door is always open, my phone is always readily available, and I am always happy to help in any way that I could.
Away from school, I am an avid NY sports fan (New York Yankees, New York Giants, and New York Knicks). During the warmer months, I enjoy going to the golf course once a week. I love to read about current events and listen to my daily podcasts. I love to travel and experience new places.
